Nominator's project description
| Dr. Lacôte is well known internationally for his research on polyoxometalate organohybrids and for carbene-borane chemistry, a field that he pioneered with studies of the reactivity of NHC-boryl radicals, developing boron-based alternatives to the use of tin hydrides in synthetic organic chemistry, and as photoinitiators for free-radical olefin polymerizations. In Germany, he will continue his research on boron-based radicals and interactions of NHCs with boranes. |
